BLUE WILLOW

Our take of the classic BLUE WILLOW design features the same essential elements of the original pattern.  Traditionally, BLUE WILLOW is a tale of forbidden love between the daughter of a powerful man and his secretary. The father felt the secretary was unworthy of his daughter's affection and not only banished his secretary but constructed a fence to keep his daughter contained.  Classic visual elements include a pagoda, boats, fences, doves, willow trees, an apple tree and bridges.  Our version is a bit more surreal and apocalyptic.  Our pagoda has burned, our birds are ravens.  The bridge and fences are broken, our trees are singed, and the boats are sinking.  Our collection includes Fine China Round Rimmed Serving Plates, Dinner Plates, Soup Bowls and Cup & Saucer sets.
